Meet Mariela

Mariela Barroso began her professional career in the luxury retail world, spending over two decades working as a top-producing sales associate at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and I. Magnin. She worked with brands including Chanel handbags and accessories, Carolina Herrera, and La Prairie. Mariela was based in Beverly Hills, La Jolla, and Fashion Valley. She also helped launch the Beverly Hills store of the luxury brand Grande Maison de Blanc in the Rodeo Drive fashion district. Mariela was the No. 1 sales associate for sales volume at Neiman Marcus for five consecutive years. She was additionally recognized for excellence in client service.

 

Mariela is bilingual as she is fluent in Spanish and English, making her available to help a broader clientele. In her previous positions, she was known for her retail displays, which were always artistically arranged and gorgeous to look at. Those skills were carried into real estate, where she serves as the team’s visual director and interior stager. Mariela believes every home deserves to look its absolute best when being marketed. She also has an innate ability to help clients declutter and optimize their space. It’s very common for clients to want Mariela’s help to set up their new home after she helps sell their old one.

 

Mariela’s love of her work goes hand in hand with how she feels about her team. “The thing I love most about the Bookmark Realty team is not just that the whole team feels like family, but several of my teammates actually are my family! Both of my daughters and my son-in-law work here. I am so proud to see my oldest daughter, Bookmark founder Flavia Berys, create and lead this amazing group of talented real estate professionals.
